2002 - finished Samara International Aerospace Lyceum
2008 - finished Samara State Aerospace University with a degree in applied mathematics and informatics
2010 - defended a dissertation with a specialization in 05.13.17 - "Foundations of information science", took a degree - PhD in Technical Sciences

Nowadays Elena Timbai is a research officer in the Image Processing Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Range of science interests includes image processing and image compression.
Elena is the anuthor of 23 science papers.
